Hello--So the black screen issue I am having is VERY specific. I am capturing old home movies, and generally things are going great with OBS. But occasionally when there is a brief break in between "scenes" of the home movies, usually accompanied by a second or two of static, the video capture box in OBS will go black. The recording continues, but with audio only. It is then not possible to regain my video feed. The only remedy is to restart my computer. The frustrating thing is this only happens intermittently (not EVERY time the video transitions from one scene to the next with a bit of static). And I have over 40 hours of home movies to work through, so I can't sit by and try to manually work through these outages. Any thoughts from anyone would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Seems an issue with your capture device. OBS is not known to suddenly continue with a black screen. Your capture device seems to choke on some bad analog input signal and not able to recover.
May be better/different cabling between your VHS and the capture device can make a change.
