Capturing more than 2 channels from a USB interface

Hi,
I have just purchased a Behringer UMC1820 in order to be able to record multiple inputs into OBS, only to discover (as many others have) that only the first 2 channels are picked up by OBS.
Other than forking out another $100+ on Loopback or coming up with a convoluted hardware solution, has anyone discovered a good way to mix these channels down to 2 channels on the Mac so that OBS will be able to hear all of the gloriousness I am trying to capture?
Cheers.

Found a solution from another thread that helped.. "Jack Audio Connection Kit":

I was able to easily reroute all the audio channels I wanted captured into the standard 1 + 2 channels and OBS is picking them up fine.

I ran into the same problem. None other then the first two inputs are getting signal level. Is this a driver problem?
With this Interface you get 5 analog input pairs and you can use only two.

Not to hijack this thread, but I'm researching the UMC1820. Specifically I'm looking for an interface that I can 1) control from the computer that runs OBS, and 2) control individual channels via OBS. I have four cameras I switch between during our livestream, but currently I'm tapped into the same signal that goes out to our sound system. Ideally I would pair individual mics with individual cameras, but if I could just adjust individual mic levels on the fly and get a better output from my sound system to my Tascam US-32, I'd call it a win.

I'm able to use 4 different stereo pair inputs with OBS (currently 27.1.3). Check OBS -> Settings -> Audio -> Global Audio devices

I got my UMC404HD and UMC1820 to ingest all channels by using this driver: https://www.asio4all.org/
A lot of programs are not built with ASIO in mind but with this driver most production software will now recognize the basics of MIMO.
