Question / Help capture html tooltip in video?

Just started using obs - 23.1.0, 64 bit windows version. Want to record software demos / tutorials. Software to demo runs in a web page. When one hovers over a link on a web page, a small tooltip often pops up, based on <a> title attribute. Very common thing. My question: Can obs capture a tooltip? I have been able to use obs pretty readily, record mp4 videos, not difficult setting things up. But in my tests, tooltips are not captured. I tried using both full display and window as source. Is there a setting I am missing? Or just not possible? I tried to provide all relevant info, but if more info required, please let me know. I searched obs website, could not see anything relevant, but maybe I missed something. Thanks

Window capture only captures the main window of an application, no menus and no other secondary windows like tooltip popups or dialog windows, unfortunately. But with display capture you are able to grab everything you see on your monitor, including any mouseover popups. The challenge with display capture is to remove non-relevant stuff from the desktop to not show things you don't intend to include within the stream.

"But with display capture you are able to grab everything you see on your monitor, including any mouseover popups." - Thank you for responding. I had tried obs display capture, which I also thought would grab everything. But I was not able to get it to capture mouseover popup (HTML tooltip). I attached screenshot from video, at the point where tooltip occurs (but is not captured). https://obsproject.com/logs/vNpU9JMbOYexKge1 is logfile. Maybe I am just doing something wrong. Has anyone else used obs to capture tooltip, and can share how they did it? Thanks

You are using Windows 7 - display capture does not work very good with Windows 7. You might try to window-capture your browser with Windows 7 and Aero disabled. But my knowledge with that operating system that is end of life in half a year is limited. I recommend you update to Windows 10 to get the same experience as everybody else.

"Display capture does not work very good with Windows 7. Try Aero disabled. Update to Windows 10." - Thanks for reply, and reasonable suggestion. But can anyone verify that HTML tooltip / mouse rollover is captured under Windows 10? Or is not? Seems a simple / quick test to do. Other than tooltip not being captured, display capture seems to work fine under Windows 7, have not had any other problems. I don't want to go through trouble of upgrading to Windows 10 to just find same problem. Related to Aero, it is disabled. Thanks
