Upload OBS-log as attachment please. Nobody wants to read sidewise scrolling posts like this. Thx.

And clearly describe your problem. What does "OBS has stop adding capture devices" mean? More than one capturing device? Which business and model is this capturing device you try?

OBS main menu Help > Crash Reports
If there crash reports, please attach them to your post here, on the forum.

Likely device driver issue or malfunction device. You may try to make new Scene Collection from OBS main menu and add device again. But hardly believable that it will help.

Sometimes video cards can interfere with video capture devices (video acceleration errors etc). Thus, for test purposes you may try to run OBS on power saving video card to see if this will change anything (don't forget to switch it back to more powerful NVIDIA card).

If there are any crash reports anyway you should find it aside from running OBS instance under something like
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\obs-studio\crashes

As Suslik mentioned you should try to start with fresh/empty profile/scene settings.

Hi konsolenritter, sorry for the late reply. I have tried this C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\obs-studio\crashes but there are no files in the crashes folder. OBS was working fine until i run into this issue. I have also reinstalled OBS several times but it seems to be not working anymore. Below is a log file just now

You have your capturing device inserted more than once. This should be avoided strongly (in general):
Code:
19:14:22.852: Loaded scenes:
19:14:22.852: - scene 'Scene 2':
19:14:22.852: - source: 'Video Capture Device' (dshow_input)
19:14:22.852: - source: 'Video Capture Device 2' (dshow_input)

What triggers my attention is this line, often found in your logs at first:
Code:
19:14:22.853: Video Capture Device: DecodeDeviceId failed

This is seldom and sounds like an issue in the early driver initialization sequence. Something like a special driver issue with that device. What kind and model is this device?
Can you try another (model) one (just borrow for testing purpose). If you decide to buy another one, look for devices that don't need extra drivers (called something like "universal video class UVC" or so).

Seems you must change something with the device, not reinstalling OBS.

no, it started about 3 months ago
If the issue is three months old you should look for actions that could caused this three months ago, too. That was what Suslik meant.

In the windows update history you can see what kind of os (or similar) updates have been taken during those days you experienced those problems first.
