Sorry if this isn't the place to ask the question as its not exactly a question about OBS. Currently, I've been using a WAVLINK HG900U Capture Card, its been pretty good cheap option, beside one issue being that it blacks out sometimes and occasional screen-tears (which apparently is common for USB capture cards according to EposVox). Anyways, main issue is that it would sometime blackout and I can assume its probably a lack of power via usb when connected to my laptop or mini pc. I was curious if using a powered USB hub to circumvent this issue which may fix it as blacking out seems to cause a desync or turns off the audio completely. Also doesn't help when playing online when my monitor suddenly turns black for a second or two during fights. I did buy a usb cooling fan as I did notice the capture card gets warm, which seems to help with the issue, but doesn't solve it, just remedies it. I don't think I have a faulty capture card as it works fine 99% of the time, just the 1% of the time can be inconvenient at times.
