Question / Help capture card limitations

I was looking around for a capturecard and noticed that most of them (1080p60) cards have a limit of uncompressed 1080p60 at 60Mbps. If I'm correct, then usb 3 has a higher data transfer than 60 Mbps.

1. Does that mean that with the use of OBS I could get more than 60Mbps?

Also with the avermedia extremecap u3 the description says:
* Requires Intel® Core™ i7 with discrete graphics card, SSD Raid 0, and a read/write speed of 300 MB/s.

2. How is a requirement of 300MB even possible, am I messing up metrics or...?
3. Would I best get a Av.io 4k which does 30fps if I want to get 4k, instead of upscaling from a 1080p60 recording?

This is for local recording, which is intended to be uploaded later on to youtube. Any info would be much appreciated!

The converter chip inside needs to support the higher resolution.
Thats why most cards peak out at 1080p30 or 1080p60.

4K cards are usually more expensive.

USB2's theoretical limit is 60 MB/s. USB3's is 640 MB/s. Just Google the specs. The program you use doesn't change the hardware's capabilities. What are you trying to record at 4K?

It's usb 3, yet the specs state a transfer of 1080p60 at 60Mbps uncompressed. I assumed that's the max that they would let you choose through their software could be bypassed via OBS with higher settings (e.g. lossless) - since it's ubs 3.

How come they require you to have a sdd with at least 300 MBps R/W?

I'm trying to record gameplay, I could do it 1080p60, but I'm not sure if the bitrate would be high enough when upscaled to 4k.
