Question / Help Capture card for video cameras

I have several fairly nice cameras with HDMI output. I'd like to use these with OBS, mainly because their quality is far beyond a webcam. What capture device would you recommend for this, keeping in mind that I need to connect at least two into OBS at once. I'd like to keep the cost at or below $100 apiece if possible.

There is literally nothing Mac-compatible you can use with OBS that will capture from HDMI for $100 or less, at least not new.

Most of the things you can buy even at 2-3 times that price won't let you use two simultaneously. This is not that common to do and I've seen more than one user in this forum complain that OBS does not recognize two of the same device. It might be best to select your two favorite compatible devices and purchase one of each to avoid OBS from seeing two devices as the same device.

USB devices from AJA (UTAP HDMI) BlackMagic (Intensity Pro USB) and Magewell have proper drivers for use with MacOS.

Generally the devices that do 720p30 or lower will be cheaper.

Ones that support 720p60 or 1080p30 or better will be more-- close to $300 or more new.

Avoid Elgato. They provide no MacOS drivers and their hardware will NOT work with OBS on MacOS; you'll only be able to use their software or capture their software's window in OBS, which is nonperformant.

Thank you for the input. Yes, sigh, Elgato ... I own three HD60s and can't use them. Very frustrating.
