Question / Help Capture Card for Mac OS

Guys,

I've iMac and want to use OBS to stream PS4/Xbox. I know Elgato HD is not working with OBS. So I heard that I've got 2 options. One is Blackmagic Intenstity (USB or TB) and another one is Magewell (USB capture HDMI). What is preferable and does both work with OBS and OBS detect them?

I have successfully used BlackMagic Intensity shuttle devices with usb 3.0 and OBS Studio under 10.10 and 10.11. It was occasionally flaky, requiring restarts and changing USB ports to be seen sometimes.

They do. The AJA UTAP HDMI works pretty well with OBS-- better than the Blackmagic Intensity shuttle I was using before, anyway.

I know this is under the Mac OS section but was wondering if anyone had used the AJA UTAP HDM with OBS and used the OBS laptop add in external audio? In other words, not use the audio stream from the HDMI stream? We want to use a PTZ 12x USB camera in our church but feed house system sound into the stream to FB Live. Thanks

Has anyone tried the black magic intensity thunderbolt version for Mac?

I am trying to live stream while using DJ software on my MacBook Pro, but find that obs soaks up so much CPU that the DJ software (Traktor) suffers audio dropouts and glitches.
