Question / Help Capture Card audio not working

So I've been using my current PC to record and stream gameplay from my Nintendo Switch for about a month now, and everything always worked perfectly fine. But today when I went to record Mario kart 8 Deluxe, I noticed there suddenly wasn't any audio from the capture card. I know this isn't the fault of the capture card because there is audio coming from the TV, but not from OBS. I have changed no settings since I started using OBS on this PC. Why is this happening?

Edit: Yes, I know that by default, capture card audio isn't played through the desktop speakers, but I have it set to do so, and it usually works fine. It doesn't work even if I do change it back to default settings.

So as it turns out, it's not OBS that's at fault, it's something that got corrupted in my PC, I don't know what it is yet, but it's not letting audio come from my capture card. I don't know how to delete this topic, so I'm putting this here instead.

Ok, sorry, but I don't know what you are trying to say, is it something to do with the device manager? Cause that's the only thing I can think of that you might be saying besides OBS, and I didn't see anything like that in the device properties, or through OBS properties.

ok go into obs click on your capture cards properties then there should be a tab that says configure video now go to video and audio input and change them to component then click apply now the screen should go black then go back into properties and change the video imput to hdmi and the audio input to HDMI=aux this fixed it for me

Thank you very much, that worked! I also figured out how to make it to where my PC audio isn't recorded alongside my capture card audio (Which I think it should have done to begin with, but I couldn't get it to work that way). Too bad I didn't think about the fact that I posted this question here BEFORE I started my stream today, I forgot about this page lol (I posted to other forum and help sites too, but you are the only one who said anything lol)
