Capture an image every x seconds or minutes?

Is there a plug in to take a picture every so many seconds or minutes? I'm using the c920 to create a stop animation type thing with a plant. Id import the images into a video editor.

The one downside is that it only supports Windows.

You can record with a fractional FPS such as 1/120 which be 1 frame per 2 minutes.
