Question / Help Captions?

I read that OBS 17 has the ability to use Windows Speech Recognition to automatically generate captions. I can't seem to figure out how to make it work, though.

Is it doable in OBS itself or does it rely on another video tool to work? Thanks.

The CC function that OBS Studio is using is also known as Embedded 608/708 captions.
They only work for streaming right now (AFAIK) and also the streaming service needs to support them.

Twitch does and YouTube too (however I'm not sure if stream now does support them).

You will not get anything visible in OBS Studio itself.

Thank you for your comment Gol D. Ace. Captions work on my streams not perfect but it works. Sometimes instead of English it shows the language to be Und. I don't know what Und stands for, maybe undefined?

Either way, if you select that as the language it works.

Any way to get 708 out NDI or Decklink SDI? Thanks!
