Question / Help Can't use capture card between multiple scenes?

I want to use my elgato HD60 with 2 scenes, one with no overlay and the other with the overlay. But It doesn't appear to let me. If I try making another scene with the capture card, OBS will crash, but on startup the scene is there and works fine. But then the other scene just displays a grey box with "one moment please". I'm on 18.0.1

Don't add a new video capture device source for each scene.

Use add existing.
