I have tried to use the amd encoding while recording because x264 seems to make my recording laggy, although the actual thing i do while recording is perfectly fine. At first, I thought it may be due to out of date AMD drivers. I checked, and lo and behold, an update. So i updated to the most recent version, yet I still experience the same issues. Checking the log, the only line i find thats relevant to the amd encoder seems to be
<Plugin::AMD::EncoderH264::SetResolution> Failed to set to 2560x1080, error AMF_OUT_OF_RANGE (code 5)
The program itself spits out an error notice about ensuring my Nvidia or AMD drivers are up to date whenever I try to hit record while having hardware (AMD) set as my encoder in simple output mode, and same when trying to use AMD advanced media framework in advanced output mode. Any ideas?
