Can't tell if I'm recording my footage when recording a full screen application

Hi I can't see the preview in obs when I'm playing a game in fullscreen meaning I can't tell whether or not I'm recording anything at all. Is there a way to have a preview of what I'm recording while I'm playing a game in fullscreen?
