As far as I can tell switching x264 CPU presets on the fly doesn't work.
For example one can start a stream on a slower preset, go to the corresponding options page and switch back to a faster one without stopping the stream. The options are all highlighted and accessible and pressing apply saves the changes. However the CPU usage (and quality) remains the same regardless.
This seems odd considering other options which can't be changed on the fly are usually disabled while the stream is ongoing. In contrast (as far as x264 goes) the bitrate can be adjusted on the fly and thus remains accessible through the GUI. Are CPU presets supposed to fall into the latter category? Can you guys reproduce the problem?
