I updated to the new version of obs today and now i'm getting the following error when i hit the start recording button:

"Starting the output failed. Please check log for details.
Note: if you are using the NVENC or AMD encoders, make sure your video drivers are up to date."

After going through my log details, here seems to be the area of importance on why it is failing. Any help would be appreciated. See below, thanks

This logfile is not from the session where you experienced that error, or from a session where you recorded or streamed.

To diagnose your error, someone needs to see a logfile from when the error actually happens, in order to see what is written to that log when the error displays.

Open OBS.
Start a recording or streaming session.
Wait til your error occurs.
End the streaming or recording session.
Upload the "current log" without quitting OBS.

If you quit OBS after the error, but before uploading the log, you need to upload the Last Log (not the Current Log).

There are no updates available for my graphics card unfortunately. I already had checked.

Not from your notebook vendor perhaps, but from Nvidia:

Search yields this driver:
