Question / Help Can't Source Microsoft Edge, Internal Monitor Is Intermittent.

Any progress on getting Window capture to work for Microsoft Edge? I know I can use monitor capture, but this renders the monitor useless for anything else while Edge is being captured.

This problem has been around for a while, is this a technical issue, or MS just choosing to not play nice with others?

I've read the "Laptop? Black screen when capturing?" section, and I think that's set up correctly:

I have a laptop with an external monitor. I always seem to be able to source the external monitor, but the internal monitor is intermittent. Right now when I captured the log I've linked, I'm getting nothing but black in the preview screen when the internal monitor is selected. The settings window that comes up when I hit the gear icon is pretty simple, display 0 or 1.

If the internal monitor is selected when OBS is turned off, it seems to be available the next time I start OBS.

So I have a work around for the internal monitor issue. Any suggestions to capture Microsoft Edge?

Edge can't be window captured. It's a limitation of windows store apps.

The solution is to not use edge if you want to use window capture.
