Question / Help Can't select webcam on OSX 10.11.2

Hi all,
I'm trying to use OBS on my iMac and on my Macbook Air. On both computer I've OSX El Capitan update 10.11.2 and I've the same problem: the Video Adapter is greyed and I can't select a camera, so I see only a black screen.
I've connected to my computer even a Logitech C920 but the problem still remains.
What can I do?

Video adapter is your GPU, not camera. To add a camera, press the + button under the Sources box and add a video capture device, and select your camera.

A different question:What actually is the use of Video Adapter?

Right now that drop down does nothing, and it's confusing to people because if it. If/when it starts working, it will let you select which GPU OBS uses to render with.
