Question / Help Can't record Minecraft with OBS

Hey there,

I recently tried using OBS for recording minecraft but all that shows up is a black screen, sometimes it's white. I added a new game capture and changed it to record minecraft, but it's not working. Any helps would be appreciated.

Alright it's fixed, I was using the beta version. That was the problem. Anyways, if any staff want to close the forum please do so, I don't know how.

you probably have multiple game and windows captures pointed to the same game. I would remove all captures and just make one game capture for your minecraft game. games can only be "hooked" once so if you have mutliple, that could be an issue. also OBS uses layers so whatever capture is on top will display in front.


Lastly, please dont rush help from here. often responses are between 2 and 8 hours but no guarantee to get one since we are all volunteer here. we all have jobs and take personal time out to help on these forums.

Not sure if that was his issue. but I've seen this cause issues in the past. multi game captures, same scene all pointed to the same game.
