Can't play MPG / VOB files via Media Source

Hi all, is this a known problem? I've been using OBS to play tons of video files but, for some reason, it won't recognise nor play the older MPG / VOB format. Do I need to convert all these to a newer format?

If you don't have VLC installed, install VLC and then use the VLC Video Source option.

I'll try that, but why won't OBS recognise / play them? It works fine with old .avi files...
