Question / Help Can't open .pkg to install OBS

Hi all,

This is my first experience with OBS. I'm on a Mac 10.11.16 running Capitan (no updates due apparently) and I've downloaded OBC for Mac 21.1.1.
Upon clicking on the .pkg I get a window which says: Verifying "obs-mac-21.1.1-installer.pkg"...

And.....nothing. Nothing happens.

Can anyone help at all?

Thanks,

George

The software could be blocked by 'Privacy & Security' from the System Setting. When something downloaded from the internet gets blocked, it appears below 'allow apps downloaded from'. Otherwise, the software and Mac Capitan are not compatible with each other.

FYI if your machine is online and shows no updates while running 10.11 then it is pretty old and may not give you a good experience running OBS. Current version is High Sierra 10.13 and 10.14 is due out this fall (Mojave).

Current OBS should run under El Capitan, but I'm more concerned that if your machine can't actually run Sierra or higher (10.12) it's probably underpowered for the current version of OBS.
