Question / Help can't make a specific region for display capture

I have the latest version of obs studio and want to record a specific area of my screen. Looking at guides there is usually options to choose what part of the screen you'd like to show, but in the version I have (there is no monitor capture, display capture is the only one available) there are no options available. Please help. I'm currently running windows 8 if that makes any difference

Display Capture->Right on it->Filters->Add a crop. (This crops it globally).

Or hold down alt and drag the edges of the display capture to crop it (applies per scene only).
