Question / Help Can't install OBS

So I recently decided to get into streaming and found out about OBS, since it is free, I decided to try it. Unfortunately, when I tried to install it on my computer it did not work, the error says:

Error opening file for writing:

C;\Program Files9x860\obs-studio\data\libobs\bicubic_scale.effect

Any help will be appreciated.

Well something on your system is blocking.
Do you already have a previous version of obs studio installed and running?

No, I never installed OBS

I have fixed the issue by restarting

Hi. I registered to forum just to write an answer for this problem even though it is late :D

In my case problem was the installation path. For some reason it didn't have the permissions to write in Program Files or Program Files (x86). I created another folder in C: drive and it accepted.
