I did that and it worked before, but now I just can't hear skype at all when I do it.i work skype perfectly fine
make sure you are running wavtap first
change your audio output to wavtap
and on skype, change your audio output to wavtap
works perfectly for me.
It's the same thing. WavTap was working before just fine. But I'm not sure why it's not now.Might want to try SoundFlower. WavTap works some people and SoundFlower works for others. In my case, SoundFlower works for me every time.
I had done that, and that's why I can't hear skype, because I change it to wavtap. I set the output for my sound preferences on the system as WavTap and then went to Skype and set the output as WavTap and as soon as I do that, I can no longer hear Skype.Perhaps skype lets users configure which speakers to output to? If that's the case, then you have to select soundflower/wavtap in skype settings, but I would have to see the configuration for myself to know.
Thank you very much, it was what you suspected. I am eternally grateful!Things that play in to wavtap should be rerouted back out to your speakers/headphones/etc, if they don't then it sounds like a configuration issue. There are some extra tips in the wavtap thread here if you need to configure wavtap to rerout out to speakers/headerphones and such: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/setting-up-mac-desktop-sound-capture-with-wavtap.16524/
However without seeing it first hand I'm not 100% sure. I'm pretty much betting that it's just a configuration issue.
