Hello everyone! I'm trying to record my Switch game play. Needing insight on an issue where "I can't hear or record my game sound" on OBS.
I'm currently...
- Using MacOS Mojave
- Using OBS
- Using Elgato HD60S+ Capture Board (trying to record my Switch game play)
- Using iShowU Audio Capture instead of Soundflower
Problem:
No matter how many times I change and try different settings in OBS or on Mac Preferences (including Audio MIDI), I can't hear the sound of my game through my headphones AND it's not recording the game sound in OBS.
Previously, I was using Elgato HD60S and it worked fine with the help of OBS Link. However, the screen lag was so severe I upgraded to HD60S+. Now, I have zero lag (which was so great!!), but I can't hear any game sound (or record it).
Additional Info:
- OBS will pick up my desktop sound.
- I set up "multi- output device" for volume on mac before opening OBS.
- Set up "multi- output device" for output and "iShowu Audio Capture" as input? (in Preferences > Sound on Mac)
Right now one thing works and one thing doesn't, and when the problem is solved another arises... type of situation. I'm in a loop and getting exhausted. Me and my husband spent 2 days trying to figure this out and kinda burnt out now. haha. Any help will be very appreciated!
Hope I wrote everything as clear as possible but please let me know if you have any questions about my questions!!
THANK YOU!!!
