Can't hear friends chat in twitch stream

I'm streaming gameplay with friends to Twitch using OBS. Using Xbox app on my PC for the game (Sea of Thieves) but we don't use Xbox party chat, just the in-game chat so we can communicate easily with enemy players. I have my game audio output set to my PC speakers as I'm using a chat only headset, and the game chat audio as well as proximity chat from other enemy players is set to output to my headset. When I stream I can only hear myself talking no one else, but if I switch the in game settings to output chat to my speakers I can hear them on the stream. Is there a way to keep the voice chat in my headset but still set it for them to be heard on the stream as well?
