Question / Help Can't Get Pre-Recorded Videos To Work

My problem is this. I am trying to get animated videos and pre-recorded videos, like an intro to play. But when I load from media source it creates a very small red box in the upper left corner of the screen, and when I go to move it, it disappears when I try to click on it in any way. My goal is to put the intro and have an animated lower third during the broadcast.

If it shows up as a small red box, it usually means it wasn't able to read the source file. This could be for a variety of reasons, including antivirus, a corrupted video file, permissions, etc. Have you tried opening the media file in VLC to ensure it plays? Could you post a log after adding the source and selecting the file?
