Question / Help Can't game capture Rise of the Tomb Raider (steam version)

Hi,

I'm very new to OBS but have watched quite a few tutorials on youtube to get me up to speed on how to locally record my gameplay.

I'm encountering a black screen problem when I try to record Rise of the Tomb Raider via game capture. I'm only able to record it through display capture.

The weird thing is I thought I try and record Tomb Raider 2013 (which is also through my steam) and I'm able to record that through game capture and also other games in my steam library like Mad Max, Hitman Absolution, Batman Arkham Origins.

Is it purely the game Rise of the Tomb Raider that has an issue with game capture in OBS?

Set Rise of the Tomb Raider to DX11 instead of DX12. Game Capture cannot capture DX12 yet so it'll show up black.

@wheels86, try running OBS in administrator mode, if that doesn't work, its the lack of DX12 support, like what Joe33345 says.

Cheers @Joe33345 I didn't know OBS didn't support DX12. It's appearing in game capture under DX11 :)

@jds4578 I always run as Admin ;) DX11 was the answer.. thanks for the help guys!
