I bought the AV to USB capture with instructions. It says to down load the OBSproject software. I got this Broadcast software. It does not follow as in the instruction book. I cant find where to select USB2.0 PC Camera device. Its not listed ANYWHERE. I am trying to convert VHS to digital and burn a DVD to save my old VHS recordings. I need help!

Added note: all my settings in privacy and cameras are set to allow camera. I am using windows 10 on a HP-15 laptop.

Did you install all the necessary drivers? Note that if your capture device only comes with 32 bit drivers then it won't work in modern OBS versions. For converting VHS tapes, OBS is a bit overkill as you don't need any of the real time compositing features OBS provides. If you're comfortable with the command line, FFmpeg would be much better suited to the task.

The last version to support 32 bit capture drivers is 27.2.4 which can be found at https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/releases/tag/27.2.4 if you want to try it (you want the "OBS-Studio-27.2.4-Full-Installer-x86.exe").

I finally got it to record audio. But no video. I tried. Both 32 bit and 64 bit. My laptop is an HP15 f272. 64 bit running windows 10. The instructions that came with the cable kit say to set the video resolution at 640 x 480 or highest. Its now set at 1366x768. What is still wrong?
