Question / Help Cant find blackmagic device in obs 23

Everything works fine in obs 22.0.2, but in 23.0.1 i cant find that source anymore, is that a bug? See images.

Same problem... on a live broadcast day it totally screwed up... reverted back to 22 and then it reinstalled 23 again... on it's own... then started to crash...so I had to revert back to xsplit... not impressed.... nearly 10k people in the stadium and we put on a poor show :(

Most likely, your version of Blackmagic's Desktop Video software is out of date.

And OBS doesn't update on its own. It only updates when you tell it to.

I beg to differ... it did it three times... I even ticked the little box that says... don't check for updates :(

I'm having the same issue. Luckily I still had the 22.0.2 installer downloaded. For those that don't, you can get the portable version at https://portableapps.com/apps/music_video/obs-studio-portable (while supplies last, don't know when then'll update).

@Harold was correct. I installed Desktop Video 11.0 update from https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/family/capture-and-playback and now it works (tested in portable version of 23.0.1).

Sites like portableapps may (unintentionally) bundle malware.
And it's not like the archive of OBS releases isn't available on the github repo.
