Can't dock twitch chat to the main interface

Hi, I'm running OBS 27.1.3 on macOS 12.0.1, and I'm having a weird issue where I can't dock some of my docks to my main UI window. For example, Twitch Chat refuses to dock to the sides, although Activity Feed and Twitch Stats will. I'm able to make a custom browser dock for popout chat which will dock successfully but that requires that I log in separately, which is an annoying process to have to do. I suspect that for some windows it's unable to track the mouse cursor location while dragging (although I don't get why it would work for some docks and not others). Is there any way to dock a window specifically to a part of the main UI, perhaps by keyboard command or the like?

Alternately, is there a way to make the separate dock windows not disappear when I switch applications? If I could keep my chat visible at all times while I'm in the application I'm actually trying to stream, that'd be even better.

Bafflingly enough, sometimes it's able to dock to the window, but never to the place I want it to dock to. And if I try to drag it again to move it elsewhere it goes back into the state where it's not gonna dock at all.

I'm having the same problem. Twitch Chat, Stream Activity & Stream Information don't want to dock. Initially it worked but not in the areas I wanted them to dock. This is what I am trying to achieve in the image below. It wont let me dock them on the sides. Please advise anyone there in OBS. Thanks in advance. - Ramon
