I have been using OBS Multiplatform (Studio) on Macintosh for 1-2 years and one day, I installed WavTap and it messed up my audio sources. I had to use a multi-output source that i had to set on my mac's Audio MIDI Setup...It was extremely annoying and so I set my desktop audio source back to default, then i put some music to check if it detects the sound and it doesn't. If someone can help i would appreciate it!
