Hi folks, i'm really stuck with how to solve the issue of our huion router blocking obs connecting to a stream, so wondered if anyone more knowledgeable may be able to help.
I live on a narrowboat and have 2 methods of connecting to the net. Mobile hotspot & the huion router. The router is much better signal, and is definitely preventing the connection as if i use my mobile tethering that goes through fine.
Im on a macbook m1 with firewall and antivirus both turned off and the router firewall turned off so it seems that can't be stopping it. I've tried connecting to two services Videolinq & Airmeet, following their instructions to the letter & pasting in the required stream keys & addresses, and when i click 'start streaming' they only connect when using the mobile tethering.
The only thing i can find so far, is in obs help - which says, 'If you suspect the problem is your firewall/router, make sure outbound TCP port number 1935 (the default port used for RTMP, but note that your service may use a different port) is allowed'
I've looked at all the settings on the router login & the only thing i can see that related is in special applications, shown in this screenshot below which says its for
'Configuring parameters to allow the use of special applications, such as online games, video conferencing, or IP phone over the LAN.
Trigger Protocol:Supports the interoperation of special applications and remote servers.
Trigger Port:External port that triggers access to the router.
Open Protocol:Protocols used by special applications.
Open Port:Port used to access special applications over the Internet'.
so i set the ports to 1935 for both trigger & open but no change (Failed to connect to server message each time). I also tried adding 1935 in a whitelist section, but had to reset router to connect, so wont be doing that again, and can't see anything else to do or try!
If anyone help identify why this is not working & what i can check/change/update that would be very much appreciated.
