Question / Help Can't connect Rode SmartLav+ to OBS Audio settings

Can I ask - how do I get OBS to detect my SmartLav+ mic? [Mac Desktop]
Its not showing in the list to select it as a mic option [settings>audio>mic/auxillary device]. Please help!!!!!

Try adding an audio input source to a scene. Does it show up there?

Wait, isn't the SmartLav an iPhone headset?

Anyway, should work I think, depending on the desktop. (My iPhone headset works in an old Mac Pro.)

If it shows up in the normal Sound control panel as both an input and an output, and works, then OBS should be able to add it as an input source.

Maybe take a look at this thread. You may need an adapter if you don't already have one and the mic doesn't show up.
