Can't connect a Sony a6100 to OBS

I have a Sony a6100 camera, and I have installed Sony's remote software for the computer to see the camera, however the OBS software still does not see it. I am using the OBS with YouTube live stream and also Proclaim Presentation software.
Any ideas?

Do you see the camera in the device manager under imaging devices? If it is not listed as a device, OBS nor any other app will be able to see the camera. How are you connecting the camera to the PC?

Are you using a cam link like Elgato HD60S+ because you need that to ”transform” the signal from the digital CAM to work in OBS.
