Question / Help can't add video source

I've been using Ustream Producer for many years and am trying to switch over OBS. The camera is a Sony Handicam, and the pc is on Windows 10 Pro. I'm guessing that it may have something to do with "DirectShow"? No idea what this is. I don't think I had to do anything originally when I started with Producer. Anyway, I am seeing nothing from the camcorder. Again, works fine with Producer. No idea what to do.

Here's the log file?

Looks like your system does not have a driver for your camcorder that OBS can use:

20:59:43.718: User added source 'Video Capture Device' (dshow_input) to scene 'Scene'
20:59:43.739: Video Capture Device: DecodeDeviceId failed
20:59:43.740: Video Capture Device: Video configuration failed
20:59:43.860: DShow: Could not get closest video media type
20:59:43.860: Video Capture Device: device.SetVideoConfig failed
20:59:43.860: Video Capture Device: Video configuration failed

Is it available as a device in other video applications, like Skype?

Haven't tried skype. Have only used it as the video input for ustream/producer

In ustream/producer, the camcorder input shows up as "Microsoft DV Camera and VCR". In Devices and Printers, it shows up as a "Video and Imaging Devices" (Sony DCR-HC90).

If Skype can't see the camera, OBS probably won't be able to either. You either need a newer driver or a newer camera.
