This may help others with this issue that I had when trying to use a Canon 760D (Rebel T6s) to OBS.
OBS displayed the utility as an option but all I got was the Canon Title Screen. On the camera either
it displayed a camera icon OR the view one was expecting ( in some cases removing memory card helped)
After 7 days of refusing to give up I found My solution. Canon do not offer older version of their Webcam software.
What you get is Version 1,2 ( Not from the UK Canon site - this gives you Page Not Found for a 760D).
Version 1.2 DOES NOT WORK. Neither does the new Webcam Pro V2 ( from US website ).
After much web scouring of other Canon website across the globe I found Version 1,1
This I tested yesterday on one PC after another and have a 5 for 5 success rate. None of the PC's are same spec.
PROCESS -- Go into Windows Apps. Deinstall any Canon Webcam software. Reboot. Unzip and install V1.1.
Reboot the PC. Run OBS. Connect camera via USB cable and after a scary pause the camera
view is shown in OBS. Only once did I remove the memory card. Most times its unnecessary.
