Question / Help Cannot Stream/Record after new update

I downloaded the 17.0 update sometime last week, and ever since, I have been unable to stream or record off the OBS Studio program.

Whenever I click "Start Stream" or "Start Recording" the button will highlight blue for a moment, then return to normal as if I hadn't pressed it, and the stream/ recording will not commence.

you are trying to use the NVENC encoder on a GPU that doesn't support NVENC. You have a GeForce 940m, you need at least a GeForce GTX 950m for NVENC.

Use x264, or Quicksync encoder instead
