Cannot record HEVC 4:4:4 with 10-bit color / HDR?

Why does it say "cannot record to an 8-bit format" when explicitly using HEVC main10 with a 16-bit 4:4:4 format, full range, and the proper color space and PQ? This is something that is supported by NVENC and has been for a long time. It seems like there's no option to record 10-bit color with 4:4:4? That's crazy.

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...
