Hiya, very new to this so apologies if this has been asked elsewhere (though it's like a very simple question), I could see it asked after a wee browse so here goes. I am medical student in the UK and amidst the covid crisis, our university has taken the odd decision to let us download and then reupload our exam scripts within a 24 hour period, though these will be graded as normal. Clearly this will be rife with cheating so I've been trying to find a solution to this, and OBS studio seems like a realistic option. I'm just wondering can I use this software offline and have it running throughour my test, for say up to 3 hours and then save the file? Alos, we have a large international contingent, so is this software available in the middle east, Canada etc? I'm just trying to ascertain if this software would be ideal

It's not unusual to use OBS continuously for streaming, recording, or even both, for 3 hours or longer. Whether individual machines can do this is up to their particular capabilities and configurations.

I'm not aware of OBS being blocked in any particular countries. I have used it in parts of Asia, Central Asia, Russia, Europe, and the United States. I have not attempted to either download or use it in the Middle East. I know people in Canada who use it.
