Can we record HDR gameplay with AV1 Encoder??

Hi guys.

I see when setting the encoder to AV1, there is no option to set the PROFILE to "main10" which was the requirement when using Nvenc HEVC to capture HDR content. I don't see this as an option when using AV1 as the encoder, does that not matter? Are there any guides I can use as refernece? I've followed some of EPOS VOX tutorials, but would like as much material as possible.

I know this is old, but even I can't figure it out either. I was on AV1 and as I was following Epox's HDR setup video too and realized using AV1 didn't have the "main10" profile. I even tried the NVENC h.265/hevc via ffmpeg encoder and my videos still came out inaccurate and overly bright. I'm certain it's OBS and not Overwatch because using desktop capture I experienced the same thing.

Yes, it is possible (or it was). The videos take a long, long time to appear in HDR on YouTube, but they do.

It is best to check with a program like Media info or a video player to see the properties of the file that is in HDR.

You probably have not correctly configured the P010 format and Rec 2100 PQ color space in settings/advanced and/or in the game capture properties.

AV1: Set to main (only option)
