So I have a problem. I have a pretty decent PC, but with the current settings when I stream, my stream is pixelized and doesn't look good. So here are my specs
GPU: Asus ROG STRIX GTX 1060 O6G Gaming
CPU: Intel Core i5 6600k
RAM: 16GB Kingston HyperX Fury Black DDR4 2400MHz
I am trying to stream with 1080p 60fps, no bottleneck or lagg or anything, just that problem with the lot of pixels in the image. Can you tell me what settings I should use? I really want to use 1080p 60fps but also let people downscale it to 720p (btw I'm streaming on Twitch). My internet connection is pretty decent too. Will drop screenshots of obs settings and net speed if you ask me to or want to look at them. Thanks in advance!

For a non-partnered Twitch broadcaster, the max bitrate is 3500. I generally read before that unless you have transcoding (which Twitch is expanding to non-partnered streamers) a good bitrate to aim for is 2500. The issue with 1080p60 resolution is that it is unsupported by Twitch and the bitrate necessary for that resolution and fps is higher than Twitch allows, even for partners. The largest twitch partners in general stream at 720p60 at "max bitrate" settings allowed by Twitch. So, I would recommend that you initially start at a 720p30 resolution and work from there with your bitrate. A potential bottleneck in your current setup is the i5 CPU you have. While it is a great gaming CPU, streaming benefits from more CPU cores and multi-threading that the i7 CPU provides. I would recommend you try setting your x264 preset to "very fast" and lower your game's graphical options to near lowest settings to allow for a smoother stream/game experience. If even after setting your x264 settings in OBS to super fast, your computer and stream experience is not smooth, I would consider using GPU encoding vs x264 which relies on your GPU instead of your i5 processor.
