Bug Report Can Only Use One Video Capture Device at a Time

When I stream using OBS on my laptop that runs Linux Mint, I try to use the built-in webcam and my capture card at the same time. However, it almost never works. The first Video Capture Device source that I set up works fine, but the second source I set up almost always never works (I believe it has only ever worked twice, and I can't find a way to replicate it). It shows up in the scene as a red circle in the upper-left corner, and I can't move it.

I will happily provide more information if needed. I have never reported a bug on here before and I don't even know how to grab a log file to upload.

Are you sure that your laptop can handle the load of two webcams at once? Try lowering the resolution to 640x480 on both devices to test.

I tried what you suggested after shortly reading it, but it still doesn't work. My laptop has handled the load of two webcams at once before. I just don't know how to get it to co-operate with me to make that happen every time I want to use two webcams.

Is this within OBS itself that you are trying to display these video sources? If so, you may be able to accomplish what you want by having OBS display one natively, and then use a Window Capture on the second using an external Video Capture, like VLC, Cheese, Gucview, etc. Try to capture the window of one of these devices, and display the second source. I do this for one of my dice cams I use when recording... the main video comes in and is handled by OBS, and VLC handles the IP Web Cam, and then I capture that window and display it in the same scene as the video.
