CAN OBS STREAM TO A VIDEO OUTPUT ON MY LAPTOP

Morning guys

I am very new to OBS so have some questions if they could be answered.

I have recently set up a system where i have 4 x HDMI capture cards (HDMI I to USB3 OUT) which are taking in 3 ACTION cams (on micro HDMI outinto the 3 HDMI/USB cap cards) and 1 x Laptop sending a 4th stream on HDMI into the 4th HDMI cap card.

I am struggeling to get the cameras to display even though all 4 USB3 / HDMI Cap cards are showing up in device manager.

An additional question i have is can OBS stream/send video out of the HDMI output on my Win11 laptop?

Sorry if the questions seem rudimentary but would like to know if i am on the correct path in expecting OBS to do what I require?

Thank you for any comment or reply on the above

Thank you in advance.

OBS is able to read 4 USB capture devices, as long as there is enough USB bandwidth. Make sure no other app is using the devices, since Windows is allowing access to 1 app only. Terminate all other monitoring apps, for example the standard Windows camera app.

To send the video to some hdmi output, use the fullscreen projector feature (right-click the preview).
