Can OBS send audio to an HDMI port?

Howdy,

I have my microphone amp connected to my laptop via the line-in/headphone jack. I have this setup as a source in OBS so it can send the audio to my stream. I would also like to send this audio signal to the HDMI port on the laptop to the TV it's connected to. The computer is already sending a video signal to the TV but I want to add the microphone audio to it.

Does that make sense? Can this be done?

OBS is not audio routing software; no. You'd probably want to use something like Voicemeeter to accomplish this.

Are your mic (mic amp?) and this TV located in the same room? Then it would be an bad idea to route the audio to the TV, even if its possible.

Rehearsal in the same room is the typical reason to use headphones and the monitor function of the obs sound mixer.
