Question / Help Can OBS do professional screen recording?

I'd like to switch over from Camtasia to OBS for screen recording and bug reporting.

I watched a number of tutorials and some documentation pages, but I wasn't able to tell if OBS can to the things Camtasia can do.

Can someone please enlighten me on whether OBS can do the following things:

Different animals. If you already have it & it works for you, stick with it.

But, if you want to stream too, OBS just may be what you're looking for.

Ah, OK. I read a few times that OBS Studio was a competitor to Camtasia. Camtasia tightened their product licensing, so I was investigating on alternatives.
