Question / Help can not get audio to work tried everything

the desktop audio just will not work at all no matter wha ti do everything else work ive tried making sure its set to capture my tv's audio make sure nothing is on mute all drivers are updated to the fullest this is the dumbest thing ever do i need to install some sort of 3rd party codec or something for this to work? log included
