Can I stop the space bar triggering the last button pressed?

Can I stop the space bar triggering the last button pressed? Is this usual? I do not have the space bar as one of my hotkeys, but it still triggers recording, or whatever button was last pressed in the control panel (e.g. 'Studio Mode', 'Start Virtual Camera'). I noticed this question was asked in a previous thread but no one provided the answer.

No, it's part of the standard OS keyboard navigation controls.

I'm surprised that the OBS team have not found a way to disable this. Is it too challenging? It makes it too easy to record unintentionally. Is there a workaround or way of preventing this from happening? It doesn't happen in my other software, e.g. Cubase.

Disabling it would make the program less accessible to users who are unable to use a mouse. Tab / space / enter / etc. are part of the standard OS navigation controls, all well designed applications should respect those.
