I have OBS installed on a computer where its saved audio devices are occasionally disconnected and reconnected. If OBS is started without having access to one of its saved audio devices, it resets the audio device to "Default," which I understand. However, sometimes when I restart OBS later with that audio device connected again, it keeps the device as "Default" and I have to manually change the audio device before it will work the way that it was set up to work.
I would prefer that OBS never reset an audio device to default. If the audio device is not connected, OBS can just not capture any audio until the device is connected again. Is there a way to do this?
I don't know if this is helpful, but here is a log captured after OBS was started without having some of its audio devices connected: https://obsproject.com/logs/EXf3uZ9KbsefsHWB
