Can I install a 2nd copy of OBS in diff location for test?

Yes. I've done it. They can reside in /Applications together, just rename one or the other to "OBS - Testing"... Whether or not it makes separate sets of preference files I don't know. I'd assume... probably?

EDIT: As per the other thread asking about this same thing I learned that it's not recommended, so do it at your own risk.
